Meet the veggies / Poznaj warzywka

While the perennials, bulbs, bushes and trees have been patiently growing this Spring, sitting comfortably in their beds or planters, I was sowing seeds of vegetables.

I started off in February with sunflowers. I didn't want the slugs to eat them when germinating in the ground, so I decided to grow them indoors. They all have gone in its destined place. So far slugs have not munched on them.

My garden, May 2015
Tomato seedlings, also started in February were divided and some of them are still in small pots to grow a bit more, but some were planted in few containers.

  1. It's such a busy time of year with so many things growing. Good to see some little cherries have formed, I'm not holding out much hope for a crop this year, the only thing which has blossomed well is the peach tree.

    1. Hi Jo,
The cherries, unfortunately were not watered while we were away and dried out. It is a shame, as I was looking forward to a decent crop.

    1. Hi Nicole! Some of the strawberries in the hanging basket dried out as they were forgotten to be watered by my friend while we were away, but the rest of them are ripening nicely. Can't wait to have few straight from the bush.
      Happy gardening!!

  3. Oh, you have been busy! It’s looking great, you can look forward to a great harvest. I have used to have radish every year, but this year I have very little vegetables at all because I moved house, only tomatoes, sweet peppers and some herbs. Next year :-)

    1. Hi Helene,
It is all growing nicely indeed, thank you. Lettuce, dill, spinach, pak choi, kale and radishes have been harvested every day. I have noticed that my tomatoes are flowering now so there is a hope for some nice fruits!
